"It’s a wrap folks!
Crieff Folk Club is taking a wee break for the foreseeable future in order to pause for reflection and see how we can return and be more sustainable for the future. We signed off in style last night with a great performance by the Wendy Weatherby Band featuring Wendy on vocals and cello, Sandy Brechin on piano and accordion, Fiona Cuthill on fiddle and Stevie Lawrence on guitar and Bouzouki.
Special thanks to Sarah and Doug of Midnight Wild for providing an excellent support performance. It was a sad night but also a great opportunity to celebrate and be reminded of all the great acts we’ve brought to Crieff since our launch night in 2017, the session nights we hosted and to thank all those who have supported the club in particular our regulars who have been with through thick and thin.
Thanks also to Anna, Dan and Garry (and anyone else involved in the plot) for their present of a lovely bottle of Campbelltown whisky and please excuse my singing in the Auld Lang Syne clip. It was a fitting way for the club to say goodbye for now and I was feeling a bit emotional!"

But what the club hopes to achieve in the long run is the introduction of traditional folk music to a younger generation, which will keep the genre alive for years to come. Please use the car park near the back of the hall. Alternating singers nights with guest performances we want to keep traditional folk music alive and encourage future generations to join in.
