I am emailing to bring you up-to-date with Folk Roundabout’s new website advertising schedule. 

After the demise of the printed version of the magazine in 2021, Sammi has moved the whole enterprise into the 21st century and Folk Roundabout now has a brand-new hi-spec website all of its own! You can find us here:

From the Humber to the Tweed, our website is becoming the go-to place for people who enjoy folk/roots/acoustic music to find out what’s going on. 

As part of our website re-vamp, we will soon be able to take paid advertisements. 

Are you a music shop, or professional musician with a gig, tour or album to sell?  

Are you a folk-club or music events organiser? Do you make or repair musical instruments?  

If so, we have can offer you space to advertise on our website at very reasonable rates. 

Advertising Schedule

The schedule of charges is as follows: The schedule of charges is as follows:   

Commercial Advertiser – this schedule if for anyone making a profit from their services by advertising, such as music shops, music-related services, professional musicians, music festivals, etc. 

Non-commercial Advertiser – non-profit advertising such as folk-clubs, dance-clubs, folk-club events, charities, community groups, etc. 

A banner ad will stretch across the page, side-bar ads appear on the right-hand side of the page. 

You can choose the page you want your ad to appear on, but the most visited pages on the website are the Home Page and the Diary of Events.  

Advertisers should send their own advertising copy/art-work in JPEG format to the Folk Roundabout email:

Payment can be made through the PayPal button that is onsite, or by BACS transfer (please email for bank details).

SELECT FOLK ROUNDABOUT AS THE NAME EVEN IF YOUR BANK SAYS ITS WRONG.

Any payment should be clearly marked denoting the payee so we can keep our records up-to-date. 

Videos

Sammi can create video ads for £30 per video. These are then advertised on the Folk Roundabout website at the same rates as picture ads (see above).

Sammi also makes promo films, with a charge of 45p per mile return journey to venue + £40 for a one song film.  Sammi can place them on Facebook pages, YouTube, this site & burn a DVD (£3 per plain DVD, no cover).

Finally, in addition, we also now have a For Sale page for all things related to music. Listings cost just £1!
