I'd gone on Brian & Matt's suggestion and was pleased to see that a lot of people who go to the Bedale Acoustic Club were there too.

The journey there was easy enough, as I live 2 miles from the A1, it was a fairly quick drive to Leeming.  I used to lived there and automatically headed for the RAF married quarters .. I then did a quick turn round at the handy roundabout and got back on the correct road.

As usual, I had got there early, and managed to park in one for the parking places in front of the pub.

Brian & Matt soon turned up, as did the others, slowly trickling through the door. I was a full house, and as it runs from 8pm to 10.30pm, Nick waited until 8pm to start.  It was a pleasant sing around, interspersed by a couple of stories from Zeke. 

It seem that they have a beer break in the middle of the night, so I had 3 songs in all, although we all joined in with the songs that we knew, using whatever instruments were at hand.

It’s on every Wednesday, due to other commitments, it will be a now and again place for me to visit.  Any pub that has a nice dog to pat and a real fire works for me.
