Hello - hope you are well.
Welcome to the 2025 Roving Folk Virtual Summer Festival of Folk past & present. As usual - the site for our imaginary festival is extensive – we have tents, marquees and open-air entertainment - there’s a main stage, many smaller stages and some very small intimate venues.
We asked some of our listeners if they would like to share their ideas of who they would like to see at our virtual festival – using Folk Rewind, we can see and hear many of our favourite performers who are no longer with us.
Also - Geoff Twentyman has a report on the West Somerset Festival of Folk – and David Kidman investigates ‘The Wild Rover’.
