Miserable Les is a Singer/Songwriter who is sometimes described as the "The Ultimate Pessimist". 

He hates this, describing himself as "Experienced Optimist "

I have to say, Dek (AKA Miserable Les) is actually a funny (in a very nice way), chap, and it was a pleasure spending a couple of hours in his company, we both share a lot of common ground, like and respect the same people. 

I had only met Dek briefly a few months before, at the wonderful grey Horse in Consett, songwriter's night, and his song 'Cul-deSac' had stayed with me, much like the Beatles 'Penny Lane', as his song brought characters to life, amusing memories of Dek's childhood, living in.... yes you guessed it....a Cul-de-Sac!

His cleverly worded catchy tunes are superb, and I think that the Toft House would appreciate him too.
