Axum Folk Ensemble are an eight piece traditional folk band from the north east of England. They bring traditional tunes from around the British Isles and beyond performed in lush new arrangements. They are available for formal seated concerts, festivals and background music at events.
Axum formed in 2013 and have performed in many venues over the years including Beamish, The Sage Gateshead (now The Glasshouse); Live Theatre, Newcastle, Tall Ships Festivals in Blyth and Sunderland, Jesmond Festival, Seaton Delaval NT, Cherryburn NT, Gibside NT.
